Traveling Rules

As you've noticed, there are several interesting and unique places in which you are able to RP. While you may want to RP in every location, you're not able to simply be in any location whenever you feel like it. In order to go from one location to the other, you must travel between the locations. This done in four ways: Traveling by foot, traveling by train, traveling by boat, and traveling by waypoint. The base amount of words required for travel is 100 per forum when traveling to adjacent regions and 200 when traveling to regions across from one another. Traveling to Central Fiore is only 150 words regardless of where in Fiore you're traveling from (as long as it's on land.) Travel within the same region is also 100 words per forum.

Walking:
Walking is the cheapest method of travel being that it is free to do so. Although travel topics are always open, it is possible to complete your traveling in a single post if you don't want others to join in.

Train:
If you're not feeling up to walking between towns, you're welcome to take the train. This method of travel is a bit faster than walking and cuts the total word count requirement in half. This is not, however, a free method of travel. Taking a train costs 3,000 Jewels per person. When attempting to take a boat ride, simply post in your bank account "Paying for train" and where exactly you're headed, and a staff member will approve the transaction and deduct 3,000 jewels from your account.

Boat:
Some locations are inaccessible via walking or train, therefore the only way to reach these locations is by taking a boat. Traveling by boat receives the same word count reduction as traveling by train, however it is slightly more expensive. Taking a boat ride is 5,000 Jewels per person. When attempting to take a boat ride, simply post in your bank account "Paying for boat ride", and a staff member will approve the transaction and deduct 5,000 jewels from your account.

Waypoint:
This is the fastest and most expensive method of travel. As a result, however, there are only a limited number of places in which a waypoint can be taken. In order to travel between Fiore and Pergrande or Desierto or Pergrande and Desierto, you must utilize a waypoint. There is no word count for taking waypoints, but it costs 10,000 to use one. When attempting to take a boat ride, simply post in your bank account "Using waypoint" and where exactly you're headed, and a staff member will approve the transaction and deduct 10,000 jewels from your account.
